Hurrah for the start of my Poet for a Year project! I didn't completely succeed with my poetry100 one over on my personal LJ (http://frommypocket.livejournal.com/) so I'm just going to keep using poems from this project to complete that one, as well as any other poems I may happen to write. :) I'm going to be travelling all day tomorrow (going home to Troyes from my vacation to the Alps to visit a friend) and won't get home until late in the evening, but I will be writing on the train, and will post the poem I write when I get home. :) Until then, DFTBA!

(Oh, by the way, these are all going to be friends-locked, so if you want to be able to read my poems, you'll have to friend this project! I'll keep this one un-locked for a while, so that people can read this message.)

This is, for the next year, going to be my daily poem blog. I very rarely sit down and simply write anymore, and it seems to me that I only ever write poetry when angry or upset (or for a school project of some sort), which I would like to change. This is my challenge to myself. One poem every day, starting on January 1st, 2009 and ending on December 31st, 2009. They will be posted nearly every day on this journal. There will be some times when I won't be able to post on a given day, but I will always post them as soon as I am able to. I WILL, however, be writing every day, regardless of my state of internet connectivity.

Feel free to post comments, friend me, do what you will, but please, don't criticize me for my thoughts. This is me, my life, everything released, pen to paper, and fingers to keys. Enjoy the ride, and I'll see you all on January 1st.
